'Stabits!' The
breakwater extension of the Battery Pier is protected by 3740 of these
interlocking 'three legged' concrete blocks, designed and manufacured on
the island. One used to be on display by the lifting bridge, but
was destroyed by the government as it was apparently cheaper than moving
it!
